I have engaged a builder - Steven Marshall Builders, and offsider Ryan. They come very highly recommended. As Kevin McLeod keeps telling us.... the relationship you have with your builder is the most important aspect in the success of your build, so choose someone you trust and can communicate with. Fingers crossed I have chosen wisely. I wanted to make sure that the 140 year old floorboards are pulled up in good condition so they can be re-used, and so, armed with enthusiastic friends pulled the floor up in the foyer at the base of the staircase today. Judy worked away in downstairs bathroom to remove old framing. Other than the skill saw having a mind of its own...a very productive day.
