The courtyard

In previous years, I had already lifted the top layer of surfacing (asphalt) from the courtyard and some of the second layer (concrete). Time to remove the remainder of the concrete so that when the kitchen slab is removed, the ground can be landscaped to drain to sump. Started on Friday 21st armed with a sledge hammer. It was hard work! Hired a jack hammer instead. With the help of Nathan and Nick (the muscle), the concrete was broken up and wheelbarrowed to skip out the front. Heavy, hard work...my back will never be the same!
